PROJECT ACTIVITIES: 

Analyze Objectives

By analyzing the object, what is the main strong point to overcome or the strong key ingredient in making this project

Short term: As a solution into avoidance of having a accidents related to the Microsleep

Long Term: As a main component should be implemented into every car that have been manufacturer

Analyze Problem Statement

The main problem lost of people are having accidents related to the microsleeps while driving, this can be confirm through the statistic.

Weekly Summary/findings/obstacles:

Analyze Objectives

The objective of this project is to develop a system that can prevent microsleep-related accidents. The system will be designed to detect microsleep and alert the driver before they lose consciousness.

Short-Term Objectives

  • To development a Monitoring System to identify for Driver Micro sleep
  • To test the prototype the Monitoring System to identify for Driver Micro sleep
  • To test the system into the real-life situation


Long-Term Objectives 

  • Refine the system and make it more reliable.
  • Negotiate with car manufacturers to implement the system into their vehicles.

 

Analyze Problem Statement


Microsleep is a brief episode of sleep that can occur while a person is awake. It can happen to anyone, but it is more common in people who are sleep-deprived, stressed, or taking certain medications. Microsleep can cause a person to lose consciousness for a few seconds, which can lead to accidents.

 

Statistical Evidence


According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), microsleep-related accidents account for an estimated 20% of all fatal car crashes. This means that microsleep is a major safety hazard, and the development of a system to prevent microsleep-related accidents could have a significant impact on reducing the number of accidents and deaths.
